Cross project queries allow you to search multiple projects or artifact types or both in a single query. With cross project queries you can quickly and easily find artifacts of interest to you in multiple projects. By saving your cross project queries you can access them as you would any other saved query in Project tracker.
To create a cross project query click the Create new query button on the Query artifacts tab of the Project tracker page in your project. On the Cross project query tab you can define which projects you would like included in your cross project query. The Artifact types in this project and saved lists table lists all artifact types and any saved lists of artifact types in the current project. The Artifact types in other projects table provides a list of all artifact types in all projects available to be added to your query. Projects are only available if you have permissions that allow you to query in that project. You can also select from a list of predefined searches for all projects as listed in the Predefined static cross project lists section. Add your selections to the query by checking the checkbox in the Select column and clicking the Add selected button. This will move your selections to the Previously selected artifact types section. You can remove all selections from your query by clicking the Remove all button or remove only selected artifact types by clicking the Remove selected button.
Once you have selected all of the artifact types you want included in your query click the Define query button. This will take you to the Advanced query page where you can define your query criteria as you would for a single project query. (For further information on building queries, see the Advanced query help documentation). From this page you can either run your query by clicking the Submit button or save it by clicking the Save this query button. If you elect to save your query you can now name the query and provide a brief description. Unlike other saved queries, you can not change the availability of cross project queries. Cross project queries are only available on a personal level. When you are finished, click the Save button. Once a cross project query is saved you can access it from any project with Project tracker enabled.
Saved cross project queries are accessible like all other saved queries; from the Query artifacts tab on the Project tracker page of your project. To run a saved cross project query click on the name of the query. You can edit the cross project query by clicking on the Edit in line with the cross project in the Edit saved queries table. For more information on saved queries see the Edit saved queries help documentation.
